We are the Letchworth Arts and Leisure Groups, Singing Sea Shanties Group called ‘Letchworth on Sea Shanty Group’
Although Letchworth, the world’s first garden city, is inland we bring the sea to us by singing the songs of seafaring days long gone.
We transport our audience to the sea, the harbour taverns and busy quaysides by singing sea shanties. They tell the story of the days of sail; great sailing ships, sea battles, heroes, heartbreak, joy, courage, loneliness, lost love and everything in between!
